For nearly 40 years, Zoom Group has provided opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to work and engage socially within their communities. Founded in 1986 by a group of families, Zoom Group - originally known as Louisville Diversified Services - began as a program of the Council on Developmental Disabilities. This advocacy group supported individuals and families through small, neighborhood-based activity programs housed in churches throughout Jefferson County.
Zoom Group’s arts-based adult day training program and gallery, ZG | StudioWorkZ, currently serves 53 artists in Louisville. The program offers studio space, materials, individualized support, and professional development opportunities. Since moving to its current campus at 4545 Taylorsville Road, StudioWorkZ has been actively strengthening connections with the Louisville arts community and working to raise the visibility of its program and artists through an expanded online presence.
Untold Vision is a collaborative exhibition between StudioWorkZ and Outsider Art Museum & Gallery proudly featuring the artwork of Julie Baldyga, Terry Bishop, Michah Chandler, Leroy Charleston, Randal Deeble, Jenny Ebendorf, Chimel Ford, Eric Huggins, Jeff Lawler, Matthew Spires, Carol Thorp, Matthew Torstick, and Mike White. Employing bright colors, decisive markmaking, and honest storytelling, these artists express singular visions of our world, prompting viewers to reckon with the vastness of its beauty and wonder.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
